The Tokyo Anime Fair will start on Thursday in Tokyo Big Site and as a warming up Yomiuri.co.jp has published an interesting article about the state of the industry. One thing is that the domestic film boom of last year was fueled by anime. 100,000 visitors are expected, the public opening days are in the weekend, March 24 and 25.

Medical scanning techniques will help unveil the secrets of a bunch of mummies from the British Museum, in the exhibition Mummy: the inside story, now running until June 17 in the Kobe City Museum.
Yahoo Japan has launched a social news sharing site with a “Digg feeling” as users can vote on the stories with a “Plus Score” button. The site is called Minna no Topics (Everyone’s topics).
